Nebbiolo 2010 - Library Wine

Nebbiolo 2010 - Library Wine

Regular price $202.00 Sale

The wine that dreams are made of must have been a Nebbiolo. A gorgeous wine balanced and poised with heady aromas of floral and light red fruit. On the smooth, juicy palate, polished tannins support succulent cherries, prunes, wild herbs and truffle. It’s already delicious and accessible but will age like your best Barolo or Barbaresco.

Vintage 2010+

Nebbiolo is the heritage grape from the famous Piedmont region in Northern Italy and not easy to “copy”. It took us 15 years to select the best vines, graft them to the perfect rootstock on the perfect site on our vineyard but we promise you, this wine stands up to any great Barbaresco and Barolo. No cost has been spared to produce this stunner which we picked at less than 500g per vine from the warm, sandy, gravely soil of our single vineyard.

Hans' Winemaking Comments+

On release the wine was described as: After three weeks maturation, the Nebbiolo matured gracefully for 30 months in a French oak barrique with no fining or filtration to maintain the flavours and structure of this masculine yet elegant wine.

Tasting Notes+

A deep amazing wine redolent of dark fruit, spices, minerals and liquorice, all of which come together in the glass with superb elegance. It is so structured, intense and rich that it will unquestionably keep for a very long time if you have the heart to keep it aside. Of extreme rarity with only 225 bottles produced!
